How do I get quality ringtones for a flashed verizon phone?

I have an lg verizon phone flashed with cricket service. I can download and send ring tones to my phone from web sites. They sound great when I listen to them on the websites, but when they get to my phone they sound horrible. What do I do? Thank you.
 
I use mobile24. Try them, and you can also make you own ringtones there. They are free to use so that is a bonus.
