How do I get rid of cars for sale outside my house?

I live on a main road with a small access road in front of my house. For a couple of years cars keep appearing outside my house with 'For sale' notices in them and then they are left for a couple of weeks before they move on. They are always taxed and I've tried the council but they can't do anything unless they have 2 cars for sale within 500m, the police don't want to know because they say the cars are taxed so it looks like I'll have to take things into my own hands......suggestions please (preferably legal).
Yeah, we would do but we have big drives. The cars are not stopping me getting parked just a bit of a nuisence for me and my neighbours who are in their 80's
 
break into the car but dont damage anything using the old wire hanger trick and take the hand brake of get someone to help you roll it round the corner then put the lock down as you shut the door
