how do i get rid of kazaa virus?

my computer has some kind of virus and i think its from kazaa but the wallpaper on my screen has changed itself to a red color with a biohazard symbol and it says your privacy is in danger download privacy protection software now and we keep getting popups how can i get rid of this?

First you will need to know exactly what parasite Trojan virus ad-ware malware spy ware or root kit is lurking in your system .

Second download some programs to help you out .
Spybot search and destroy - update and click the immunize button .
Trojanhunter - Free 30 day trial - will find and stop nasty ones
These two will stop a lot of bad guys

Update windows ie , security updates and your OS as well

A friend of mine got this virus you described and it destroyed the drivers for his monitor. Your best bet is to take it to a shop and let the techs have at it. Also, Kazaa is well known for passing viruses around. I caught one on my old win98 machine and it totaled out my hard drive File sharing is like standing in front of a person sneezing.....you never know what you might catch. Good luck.
