how do i get this medal in battlefield modern combat ps2?

me and my friend are trying to get 'expert healer'

i wait till my friends health is very low (like one bar) then heal him as the support guy

but i dont get any points for it always?? i only get it once every 20 times so its really hard to get the medal

is there an easier way to do this? or am i doing the wrong thing?

any help appreciated. thanks
