How do I get to be a Participant in the Next Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras in Sydney?

So just HOW doe one become a paticipant in this? I should say here & Now, that I am Very STRAIGHT, & Happily MARRIED! (Oh I forgot that anyone can marry anyone these days. Well, I Mean that I'm Married to my Wife a WOMAN, & I'm a MAN, just to clarify things without being offensive etc,etc,). .... So, I'm a Married & Very Straight Male, So What! ,,, I'd like to know how to become a Participant in this, if I choose to do so, because I've just seen the photo's in yahoo news & I see nothing in that that resembles Being Gay or Lesbian. It just looks like a bunch of people Having Fun! .... I like the Caberet costumes, but I couldn't tell if women or men were wearing them. (it would have been cold I expect.)
