How do i go about dating my fitness trainer?

Okay. I am hot. He is hot. I am not sure if he is single or not.
Do I just straight up ask him for his number?
What is a good strategy to getting with trainers?
It's an awkward setting because there are about 30 people in the cross fitness class
I want to continue going to the class without being embaressed if I get denied
So can you help me NOT get denied? Haha please
