How do I hook up my xbox360 through my ethernet on my pc so I can get on xbox live?

My cable modem is in another room and I really dont want to spent 85 bucks on a wireless connecter for it. I know it can be done I just don't know how. Any (useful) help would be greatly appreciated. I just want to know how to configure my connection so it can share the same connection.
