How do I introducing myself to my boyfriends brother?

I want to introduce myself to my boyfriends brother through email. They are very close and his brother is very protective of his younger brother (my boyfriend). So how do I go about this..please gve me some advice.
The reason I plan o introducing myself through email is because he lives in a different state than us.

Get your boyfriend to organise a lunch or dinner with the three of you, then he can introduce you to him. It doesn't seem appropriate to introduce yourself via email.
