So I love my little jetta. i would just like it to be a little sportier :) it currently has no mods at all and im open to alot of things. ive heard that performance chips are not a good idea for a stock jetta, so i was thinking about getting cold air intake. but that is a little pricy. im looking for something around $100 to make it some what noticeably faster.

im not looking to race this car, and MPG's dont matter to me so if it lowers them i dont mind.

Wow, don't listen to half of these people.

I have a BMW M3 and a cold air intake makes a huge difference. Save up buy a K&N about $250. Thats will give you the most bang for your buck at that price.

Other than that... change to synthetic.

But for $100 its hard to find anything. Save up my man. Or just start ripping crap out of it lol, to reduce weight. I don't think you want to rip your rear seats out though...

But some things to try:

1. CAI (cold air intake)
2. Synthetic Oil
3. Higher Octane Fuel

Something else that wont hurt... go to the VW Jetta forums on the internet. They'll know way more than anyone on this friggin site. They think there all know-it-alls :(

$100? Buy an K&N air filter and oil change using Mobil 1 synthetic oil.
