How do I motive myself on a healthy eating/exercising routine?

I used to be very slim and active but have been through a lot of emotional stress, therefore I emotionally eat. My main meals are healthy (its just the sweet extras) and I go for a walk most days (buts its not enough to shake the weight). I always say tomorrow, but tomorrow never comes. Any tips on how to get motivated and stay that way?
 
1. Take slow steps in healthyness
2. Remove any unhealthy food from your pantry and refrigerator
3. Buy healthy foods from the market
4. Make an effort to do something like Tae bo, running, swimming, etc 4 times a week
5. Don't give into fast food temptation or other junk food
