How do I pair my Samsung Rogue to my 2010 Kia Forte using Bluetooth?

Just got a 2010 Kia Forte EX, and figured I'd hook my phone up to it via Bluetooth. I followed everything according to both the car and the phone's user manuals, and every time I try all I get is my car saying "Pairing Failed". It also seems as though my phone hangs while searching for Bluetooth items... It registers the Forte, but continues searching non-stop until I hit "Stop" on the phone's touchscreen.

I've checked to make sure the two are in fact compatible (they are, according to Kia)... Is there something I'm missing here? Has anyone else had the same issue?
 
I am having the exact same issue with my Samsung Reality...would love some help!! Rogue is the predecessor to the Reality I heard.
