How do i persuade my kitten to drink either milk or water?

She does not seem to drink alot at all, however she eats alot. She sometimes drinks milk but never drinks water, i have only had her for a week but she seems to have settled in well.
 
If your kitten is weaned, it should not be drinking milk. Animals are lactose intolerant (including humans, but especially cats) and milk can do more harm than good. Cats don't drink much typically, but if you're worried about her getting enough moisture and she's currently only eating dry food, you could supplement her feedings with some wet food.
 
I hope you are not giving her normal cow milk, b/c cats can't digest this the right way and could make them sick.
 
dont get her used to milk...its not very good for them. if shes not drinking much fluid then give her some canned food because that contains a lot of water.
 
Put the milk or water on your finger and touch her nose or mouth. She should lick her nose or mouth to try and get the liquid off.
 
Cats/kittens are lactose-intolerant!!! Kittens and all cats should NOT be given milk at all. It will only cause them to have diarrhea. Please STOP giving her milk immediately!

Cats, incl. kittens should ONLY be given water. Make sure you cahnge the water 1 -2 times per DAY! Some cats, incl. several of mine, are extremely finicky about their water and will only drink it when it is fresh.

Also - put her water bowl in the dishwasher once a week, to keep germs at bay. No one, including a cat, wants to drink out of a dirty water bowl!
