how do i put a divX avi moive onto a cd on mac?

when i just drag it onto the cd icon or folder it just is a short cut not the real file!!! im geting pissed off plz help and the moives like 700mb'z and i know it will fit on the cd!

and also when i go to get info it only shows like 50mb'z so yeahh...?? how can i make it put the real file on the cd
it is a cd-r
 
dose the icon show an arrow pointing down, if yes, then click on burn to cd tab
 
clck on the folder but dont drag and drop. press (command) + C keys and go to the blank CD and press (command) + V to paste.

p.s. is it a re-writable cd coz if its not rewritabe it wont put files on it once you take it out of the disk drive...
