how do I react to a rumour?

There is a rumour going around my school that I got with this boy at a gig. At first it was quite funny but i thought everyone would calm down after few days but it just wont stop and all the boys tease me :( how can I react to it to make people stop going on about it?
 
Talk to a close friend and explain that your feelings are hurt because everyone believes the rumor instead of you. Then let it go. Rumors travel in circles and it will eventually spiral down to nothing. If you run around screaming "I didn't do that" you will only draw attention back to it.
And don't forget the next time a rumor about someone else comes around how it feels that people don't believe you now. Rumors stopped being a problem in our group when a couple of us started saying we didn't believe them as soon as they came up. Hang in there!
 
you ignore it. Eventually people will forget it. But if people won't stop teasing you. Tell the boys that the guy you hooked up with is more of a man than any of them could ever be, and if the girls tease you tell them that at least you have a guy then
 
Dont react to it... if you do, it just makes the situation much worse. They will eventually get bored of it.

it happens with me and tbh just ignore them till they stop beleive me they will.
they probably just like see you getting a reaction.
silly immature boys.
 
Totally ignore it. When someone mentions it, change the subject or politely deny it and say nothing. When the guys tease you, act like you don't care. This rumor was created to get a reaction out of you. Don't worry rumors will die down eventually.
 
just ignore it and tell people that its really not funny and walk off,after a few weeks they'll forget all about it, but dont forget, you must not look like your not offended
