How do I reconnect to the Internet, PLZ HELP?

I want to Format my hard drive to rid a virus. I've tried everything suggested with no success. My problem is internet reconnection. Things like modem settings. That sort of thing. I have no idea how to do this. Also, Is there info on my computer regarding the modem that I should write down before fomating C Drive. My ISP support isn't available until 9AM Monday and want this done sooner.
