How do I recover deleted apps on my iPhone that were once free?

I got WhatsApp last December when it was free, but today I accidentally deleted it. I went to the App Store to install it again but found out it costs $0.99 now. I know it's not much, but I wonder if there's any way to get it again for free, the way it was when I first installed it. It doesn't appear in my App Store purchased list.
 
if u had downloaded them after apple made the icloud then u'll just have to redownload them

PS: if u haven't gotten the cloud then your software is very outdated
