How do I reinstall gadgets sidebar on Windows 7?

try system restore. Restore your PC to any point you want, where the thing that is working with issues- worked good.
All programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore.
 
My windows 7 gadgets were working fine. I had the weather icon and a gadget that connected to Outlook and told me of new messages. I also had the clock. One day they just did not load upon startup.
When I right click on gadgets, the cursor appears to be loading something and then it just stops...
dwm.exe is running in the processes and if I kill the process it disappears but then loads again seconds later. I have tried all the regedit steps as well as playing with the UAC (I have set it to alert me) but still now gadgets :(

please help!!!
please don't post for the sake of posting and getting points.
If you read the post properly you will know that clicking gadgets does NOT work. If it did, I would not be posting.
