first off, my car is humming/roaring and the noise is becoming deafening to me. multiple people are telling me i need to replace the wheel bearings which i'm pretty sure is the problem as well (correct me if i'm wrong). i replaced the axle because the tires were riding as if out of round (after balancing and buying new tires to no avail) and the cv boot had ripped.

anyways, i figured you could just buy a hub assembly to replace the bearing and hub together but they don't sell front hubs nor the assembly for my model vehicle, only bearings. i've taken the rotors off and removed the transaxle but don't know where to go next. do i need to remove the knuckle to pull out the bearing? i cant afford to take it to a shop but am capable enough to work it out myself. any and all suggestions would truly help.

Remove the knuckle assembly.
Load the whole thing in your 20-ton shop press
Press the old bearing off the hub
Press the new bearing on the hub
Reinstall

Next go to the machine shop. You cannot get that bearing out or press the new one in. It takes a bearing press. Sometimes the hubs break during the bearing removal. It's that tight.
