How do I set up my voicemail on my sony ericsson phone?

It's a w580i slider. I looked for voicemail in my contacts, but there's nothing like that.

How do I set it up so people can leave messages?
And then how do I check it?

hold down the 1 key for three seconds and it will automatically bring you to voice mail. If it asks for a voice mail number, then just call your own number so if your number were 555-1234 just get your phone and dial 555-1234 and it will automatically bring you to voice mail
