How do I set up the wireless Internet using Ubuntu?

I just downloaded ubuntu using Wubi, so I am very new at it. I cant find a way for it to detect a wireless signal. I tried doing what it said in the troubleshooting, but it was super confusing. I have a Dell XPS m1330.
