how do i setup my signature for texting to work for the walkman sony

ericsson w580i cellphone ? whenever i go to my messages and settings and to signature and save whatever i want it to say , it never appears when i send text messages and when im done writing what i have to write , when i click more , scroll down to advanced and select add signature ; it adds it but it creates a second page. i dont want it to do that. i want it to add it right under my text like its soppose to do. can anyone pleaseee help me !????
