How do i share the video files over windows extender with my x box 360?

I have recently purchased an xbox 360 and want to be able to watch the videos i have stored on my free agent hard drive on my tv over the windows extender. How do i do this? i can get the music off this hard drive to play on my 360 but not the video. any suggestions?
