I'd like to alter the circuit from my Maestro Tape echo (sireko se-1) so that I can use the unit with regular 9volt (for guitar pedals) or other wall wart power adaptors and remove the giant bulky internal transformer and fan and rehouse the unit in a smaller case. Anyone who is good with electronics can take a look at the schematic here (page 35 or 37):

which is very helpful because it shows the voltages as it enters each separate section. I'm not sure where to go to start solving this problem, but I'm sure someone out there does.
