how do i stop iphone apps from costing me credit/data?

i dont download anything on my iphone, i used angry birds seasons and tap tap revenge quite a bit and used facebook a few times and google search a couple of times. it has wifi so internet use shouldnt be an issue.please help, something is draining me credit/data
 
A lot of apps sadly use data without us knowing :/ make sure your wifi is connected everyone you use the phone
