how do i switch from wired to wireless internet connection?

ok... first of all im clueless about this stuff... and... right now i have a cable internet from comcast... and yeah its wired.... and now i want to switch to wireless.... so my xbox and my ipod and ofcourse my computer will have a wireless internet connection... so like... do i just simply but a wireless router and the rest will be guided or is there buncha more stuff that i need to uhh switch...?
