how do i turn off auto-update for internet download manager (IDM) ?

How do I disable the Check for Updates on the Help Menu - UltraEdit, UltraCompare, UEStudio, UltraSentry, UEx forums
 
in other words, you stole the program and if it updates, it screws it up right????????? tuff shit thief
 
There is a much more effective way of stopping the update checks, you will need to open up regedit (there isno need to run as administrator) and go to the following key:

1 HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DownloadManager
and then change the “LastCheck” and/or “LastTry” value to something like e.g.:

1 [10/22/15]
Then restart your computer and you will no longer be nagged!

not sure but it may work . just give it a try:
press ctrl + r
then write regedit and hit enter then
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DownloadManager
and then change the “LastCheck” and/or “LastTry” value to something like e.g :
[10/22/15]
Then restart your computer !
