how do i unlock my motorola ic502?

well,

my phone that i have now is the palm treo and my service provider is at&t

my roomate gave me a new motorola ic502 that he found in his room.
but that phone is sprint

so when i insert my sim it reads:


insert valid sim

inserted sim card cannot be used with this phone


is therre a way to unlock it


if so plz tell

any help would be great thanks :D
 
I just quit workin for sprint about a month ago after 5 years so here is the answer: The sim card from your ATT phone is NOT usable with the sprint phone. I know it looks like it will work but believe me the technology in the phone is completely different and incompatible. Also Sprint phones CANNOT be "unlocked". The ic502 is a piece n e way.

You are wrong bud, just as c z said, you cannot use a Nextel phone with at&t. at&t is a GSM network and Nextel is an iDen network. Incompatible with one another. You can use that phone with either Nextel or Boost. The ic502 is alright phone as it is a hybrid model, meaning it uses iDen for push-to-talk but uses Sprint's CDMA service for phone calls.
