How do I use my Dell Bluetooth dongle to sync my phone?

I have a Dell wireless keyboard and mouse that use a bluetooth dongle.. I also have a new phone that I would like to connect to my computer. I'd like to use the same dongle to do so, but for some reason the Sony Ericsson program doesn't see the dongle and windows vista must not either because the Bluetooth menu isn't in my control panel.

Can anyone tell me what to do?
