how do i use the bluetooth on my Advent 4490 netbook?

in the product description it says it has bluetooth, but when i try change it to "turn discovery on" its says an error has occured and settings havnt been saved, and when i try send stuff from the computer it says "Windows cannot find any Bluetooth devices. Make sure that your Bluetooth radio is attached to your computer and is turned on, and that your Bluetooth device is turned on. Follow the setup instructions that came with the device, and then click Search Again." can anyone tell my whats wrong or how i could fix it?
