How do I write a letter of introduction to the school I am going to work for?

I'm leaving for my AEON position in about a month, and things are RUSHING by. I'm still waiting on my COE so I can get my visa (which is stressin' me right the hell out), but I was going through my paperwork and it suggests sending the school I'll be working with a letter of introduction about now. I think it's a good idea, but what sort of thing am I supposed to write? I have no idea how to start it or what to say, aside from "Hi, I'll be your American for the next year or so!"
