how do tell your future wife/husband?

Asulaam aliakum,

before i tie my self and a woman in a relationship theres certain things i want to clarify with her. however i dont want anyone else to know, so how is this possible if there has to be a mahram between us 2 all the time, this potential wife may not know how to use email and stuf so how can i tell her without people listening?

You do not need a Mahram. Go and speak to her directly. Some girls are very traditional and may feel uncomfortable speaking to non mahrams, so you'll need to be creative.

To prove you do not need a mahram, ponder at the following verse where Allah forbids men from meeting women secretly for a proposal EXCEPT when speaking with good and honor:

2:235 There is no blame on you if ye make an indirect offer of betrothal or hold it in your hearts. Allah knows that ye cherish them in your hearts: but do not make a secret contract with them except that you speak to them in terms honourable, nor resolve on the tie of marriage till the term prescribed is fulfilled. And know that Allah knoweth what is in your hearts, and take heed of Him; and know that Allah is Oft Forgiving Most Forbearing.

If that's the case with women who are going through their Idda period, then surely it is permitted for you to speak to her on a subject that concerns your future marriage.

1-well you could tell your sister or your mother and then theyll tell your wife.
2- you could give her headlines about these certain things and if she was smart enough shll understand you.

you got to get a wife or husband before you do that. Always remember, one step at it time.
