How do you burn a dvd wih Infrarecorder?

I downloaded Infrarecorder to burn a few movies I have onto my computer onto a dvd to watch on my dvd player, but what do I pick it gives me two choices. Burn the current compilation to a physical compact disk, or do I pick write the contents of a disk image to a cd? and if so will either one of these play on my dvd player? My dvd player is able to play burned movies, but just was not sure if I either one of these choices is what I need.
