How do you/Can you use a bluetooth phone as a headset for PS3?

im talking about pairing a bluetooth phone, not a phone headset, pairing with the PS3 to use it as a headset. My PS3 finds my phone, but on my phone, it says Headset attached, and on my PS3 it said Headset attached, but it doesn't read my voice, and nothing changes on the phone (i have a Sony Ericsson W580i if that helps).
