I have a mercedes benz e320 and wondering how to clean the fuel injectors. 2 of the injectors seem to be plugged and want to know to clean them without taking out the injectors. The year is 1999.
I drove over a rock and bent the gas tank. And it still drove good. Then i changed the gas tank and when i bought it they put a liquid that looks like buttermilk, or antifreeze. I didnt realize it at first and i put gas on top of it. The car was on and working for about 20 minutes on that mix. Then it started working worse and worse. When i realized it i cleaned it out and i poured clean gas and icoheet antifreeze and water remover. I poured one botttle of redline fuel system cleaner.I started it and it was working very bad and the check engine turned on and i checked the codes and there was 10 codes. Random multiple cylinders and every code for each cylinder. I let it working for a hour and then there was 3 codes left. I left it for another hour and now it only has one code that says cylinder 6 is not working. I left the engine on and hope it goes away. if you have a better injecture cleaner please please tell me.. thanks

Theres no way to clean them without removing them... and if you remove you might as well replace them its not hard but they cost around 80-130 a piece. How do you know there plugged though? If its a missfire it could be spark plugs or wires maybe you got a leak or just need new air filter. Are you using the recomend octane level? If your using 87 when your car needs 90 that could be the reason.

Dont belive that "fuel injector cleaner" in a bottle scam, it wont clean your injectors(i dont think any do this bottle works for that matter). If your injectors are plugged it sounds like you need to get your entire fuel system cleaned. Most likely you got a dirty fuel filter if there clogged.
