how do you delete Ipad 2 apps?

I have recently bought an Ipad 2 (32GB, Wi-fi and 3G if it's helpful) and I have bought a few apps that didn't turn out. I also bought lite versions of a few things and later got the full versions. How do I delete unneeded apps? They're taking up space!
 
Click and hold the app you want to disappear, then there should be an "X" in the left hand corner of the app. It's gone forever.
 
What you can do is go to the app you no longer want to have, (instead of opening the app) place your finger on top of it for a few seconds and then you will notice all of your apps shaking when you take your finger away. Decide the one you want to remove, then tap the black "X" in the corner (it will ask you if you are sure you want to delete the app) say yes, add a rating of you like, and it will be deleted. Keep in mind you can always go back to the app store and re-purchase the same app again if you change your mind! Hope this helps:)
 
Try holding your finger down on the application. When you do so, all the apps should appear to be bouncing or wiggling in place, and red "x" marks will appear in little circles in the corner of the app. hit the x.
 
you touch and hold the app, then they will all start to wiggle. little red x's will appear in the corners, so just press that and POOF! gone :)
