How do you do cruise control on the pontiac aztec?

I just got this car and the user manual did not help me at all.

The switch on the turn signal turn it on and on the end there is a button.So get to the speed you want to be going and push the button on the end of the turn signal switch.To shut it off push the brake pedal or move the switch backwards and it will turn off,move it forwards and it will resume the cruise speed you set it at.
