How do you get rid of a nicotine smell in a room?

I'm a pretty heavy smoker (at least 1, 1 1/2 packs a day) and was wondering how to get rid of the nicotine smell in the house.

Primer (Kilz) and paint the room, especially the ceiling/upper wall corners where the stains from cigarette smoking form, and then paint. Do not smoke again inside or the smell will return. You will have to replace any carpet to totally remove any smell.

Scrub the walls and baseboards and doors (all woodwork basically) with TSP and apply a fresh paint job and smoke outside after that. The carpet, if you have it, will need to be changed out. You'd waste your time trying to clean that.

(edit)wash all the curtains too or buy new.

butts are what smells the worst dont keep them around anywhere inside...keep your butt tray outside.
fabric absorbs so wash any fabric often. air purifiers. air ionizers. ozium.
not judging..i smoke occasionally..but i guess the best thing is to not smoke.
