How do you get rid of the Motorola Beep?

Every time someone texts or calls me, if I don't touch the phone it annoyingly beeps until I do. Is there a way to shut this off?
 
yea smash it. thats what i did. it really works to but then you gotta get a new phone.
 
you should be able to disable the "reminder" feature. adjust your settings, maybe in the "alerts" and tell it not to remind you anymore
