How do you get to the rear brake light on a 94 geo prism/toyota corolla to...

I owned a 93 and you had to go in through the trunk.
 
To be absolutely sure, check your owners manual. However, there
should be access just behind the carpet in the trunk. There are small
clips which hold the carpet in place. Pop out these clips carefully
and pull back the carpet. You will see the back part of the light
and should have acess at that point.
