How do you hop up a Toyota 20r engine?

im not a mechanic, but i think a cam would beef it up.

if you want more power swap a 22r in and upgrade that.
 
I have a mid 70's Toyota pickup truck with a 20r engine that I want to beef up. I am considering dual side-draft Weber carburetors and a different cam, but does anyone else have any other suggestions?
