I'm not sure what sex the kitten is going to be yet, but do you just let the kitten down and let the cat 'investigate' or is there something special I should do? Should I watch the older male for the first week or so or will it be alright?
For sure do a slow introduction. The cats may take some time to get acquainted.
I recently had to take my 6 month old kitten to my parents house because I wasn't able to keep her in my apartment, and my parents have 3 dogs. My kitten had never seen a dog before, and at first they did not get along but when i let them play with one another they became best friends. Just be careful and watch the two cats.
