There are several different search sites on the internet, but most of them will give only the most basic of information about a person, and then require some form of payment for the rest of the information. The best sites I've used to help find someone by just giving name and address are White Pages, Switchboard, and Zaba.
If you're only looking on myspace for your friend, find a mutual friend and check their friend lists out..as a lot of times they'll have a lot of your friends on their lists too.
