How do you override a security code on a Nokia 1208?

My phone suddenly turned off for no reason. When I turned it back on, it apparently cleared the settings (the keypad beeps when you press buttons) and is asking me for a security code (I never set up one.) I tried standard unlock codes (12345, 0000, etc.) and specific unlock codes based on IMEI, but it will not go past the "security code" screen. What can I do?
