How do you play Blu-Ray movies in high frame rates (fps)?

I played the Dark Knight on my computer's blu-ray player but the frame rate was about 30 fps like on old DVD's. But the other day I saw Batman playing on a plasma tv at best buy and it was obviously at least 50 or 60 frames per second. It was better than real life.

How can I play it at 50 or 60 fps like they do on those big screen tvs at best buy? Do I need some special software (I'm using windows media player classic)?
