How do you remove the word Telus from your Android devide lock screen?

I just recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy S2 X for Telus and I love it.
But I was wondering if there is a way to remove the word Telus on the lock screen and have it blank or edit it to another word?

you would have to root your phone to remove or change this.
