Ok so I know that when you have a dog that is simply regurgitating(expelling foods that don't agree with it and it can't digest) you don't have to take them to the vet unless it happens repeatidly, or the dog appears sick. How do I tell when a dog is actually throwing up though, and to the point where it has to go the vet? My dog keeps bringing up(it just comes up, he doesn't cough it up) something that looks similar to poop, instead of the usual undigested whole pieces of food. He's done it only once today, and he is eating/acting/drinking normally. Should I take him to the vet now? If he does it again? If he starts acting strange? Is there anything else this could be besides digestive upset?
