how do you tell your parents you're from the future?

They'd probably be very confused if you told them.

For one thing: You still look like your "old" self from 5 years before.

Do you mean to say that as you travel back in time, you grow younger? So it's possible that you could be risking your life if you travel to far behind before you were conceived..
...and if you could do that - then how could you exist if you haven't been born yet?

How would you have been able to counteract the effects of Telomere damage?

(I hope your parents are not as nerdy as I am)
 
I'd check into a mental hospital before I'd tell them.

im sure they will think its normal
better pack an overnight bag for the trip to the country
