How do you travel in groups or with a friend on the sims 3?

I was wondering as one of her wishes is to travel with one of her friends (he doesn't live in the same house though). Does this mean I cannot travel with a friend that live in the same house?
and also can you travel in groups (besides with your household)?

unfortunately, you cannot travel with anyone that isnt in your household... you would have to add them to your household then after the trip, if you dont want them anymore, you can move them out... its kind of silly, but hopefully you will be able to in the future...
