How do you unlock a BlackBerry Bold 9000 for AT&T? I can't get the 16 digit...

...unlock code? I googled it, and figured out how, and I got to the last step where I just needed the unlock code and it told me to call AT&T Technical Support, give them my IMEI number and they'd give me the code.

When I called, the woman told me that AT&T and BlackBerry signed a contract where they can't give out that code to prevent the device from being unlocked. How else can I get that unlock code?
