How does Judaism affect the followers?

I have a paper on the five major religions and one of the essential questions is how Judaism affects the practitioners. It's nowhere in my textbook and my teacher never taught this to us. It's nowhere online either. I'd really like some help!

Well, it's a pretty self-culture worshiping religion, meaning that, Jewish people revere their own culture above all others.

Interestingly the religious people I enjoy most are the most religious group I know, the Lubavitcher Jews. Probably it's because they live joyfully and while they are happy to share their beliefs with anyone who is interested, they don't go about militantly proselytizing and trying to make everyone over in their and take control of the political machinery of government. I'm an athest but I donate a few grand to Chabad's charitable projects each year because I know they are actually trying to help people, not convert people, and the money isn't going into to televangelist con artists pocket.

answer: being Jewish means we are a member of a tribe that is centered around the worship of G-d and G-d alone. We have faith in G-d and His covenant that Jews will always survive. As Jews we are obligated to do charitable things, even those who depend on charity to survive (there is always someone worse off than yourself). We are obligated to help repair the world and await the Messiah/Messianic age.

It also means that we are subject to irrational hatred - check out James' irrelevant rant and Desi's usual lack of knowledge and projection of hatred.
